Stand-Off Post Stair Balustrade & Handrail

STAIR BAULUSTRADE

This project consisted of a stair balustrade spanning three floors as well as a section in front of a picture window. We worked closely with the Main Contractor, LS Construction from New Fairfield CT to ensure that the underlying structure was suitable for this application. 

The first stage was to take measurements and cut templates out of MDF. We use a local kitchen cabinet fabricator that has a state of the art CNC machine. We provide CAD drawings and they cut to our files.

We then positioned the templates and installed the Q-Railing stand-off posts. This enables us to make sure that everything fits correctly and securely. We then remove the posts but leave the bases in position. The painters could then finish their work. 

As soon as the Contractor was ready we installed the glass and then fabricated the handrail. We used the Q-Line system from Q-Railing. This consists of brushed stainless steel components and tube that we can cut and fabricate on site.
