Here is a great example of glass stair rail featuring a continuous oak hand rail. This job consisted of the following elements:
Q-Railing stand off posts powder coated in matt black.
Low iron 1/2″ thick tempered glass with polished edges.
2″ x 2″ red oak cap rail secured to the top edge of the glass. The rail was cut to follow the top edge from floor to wall. Similar cap rails are available in many types or wood. They can also be stained and finished in any color.
