A glass pool fence in Sag Harbor should protect the swimming pool without hiding it behind an unattractive fabric barrier.
At a recent glass pool fence project in Sag Harbor, Long Island, the homeowners had a removable mesh pool fence surrounding their swimming pool. These systems use fabric mesh stretched between lightweight posts that plug into holes drilled into the patio.
They are relatively inexpensive and removable, but aesthetically there is simply no comparison with a permanent frameless glass pool fence.
The homeowners wanted something solid, secure, permanent and almost invisible.
Glass Pool Fence Installation in Sag Harbor
US Glass Fence removed the existing mesh barrier and replaced it with a frameless glass pool fence using Starphire® low-iron glass.
Starphire glass has exceptional clarity, minimizing the green tint normally associated with standard clear glass. Against the water, stonework and landscaping, the glass virtually disappears.
Instead of the fence dominating the pool area, the pool and surrounding property become the focus again.
A Permanent Pool Barrier
A frameless glass pool fence is fundamentally different from a removable mesh system.
Large panels of tempered safety glass create a solid, permanent barrier without fabric or closely spaced posts interrupting the view.
There is nothing to roll up or put away. A well-designed glass fence becomes a permanent architectural feature of the property while maintaining clear views across the pool and surrounding landscape.
The Before and After Says It All
The difference is best demonstrated by the photographs.
Before: a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by a highly visible mesh fence.
After: the same pool enclosed with crystal-clear Starphire Glass from Vitro Architectural Glass and an almost completely uninterrupted view.
The fence hasn't disappeared. It just looks as though it has.
